Mason Joe, a talented and passionate individual, is an artist who constantly pushes the boundaries of creativity and embraces the ever-evolving world of digital art. Born with a natural inclination towards artistic expression, Mason Joe, a lefty, has harnessed his talents to create stunning visual experiences that captivate and inspire.
In May of 2023, Mason Joe successfully graduates from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in Art, making the culmination of his academic journey. Throughout his time at the university, he dedicated himself to honing his skills and expanding his horizons. By delving into various mediums, Mason Joe discovered a profound affinity for digital art, particularly in the realms of animation and 3D design.
Artist Statement
My work aims to explore the relationship between the digital and the physical, the real and the virtual, and the ways in which these worlds intersect. By constructing natural forms in an unnatural medium I want to transform the augmentation of reality. Each animation is symbolic of a natural process in the real world and is created in the most unnatural way to help myself and my audience create a deeper understanding of the increasingly digitized world we occupy. Although each piece differs from the next, they all are linked to the idea of blurring reality through technology and its relationship with Artistic mediums. My expression is thorough, yet simple, and is a basis of the intersection of a natural reality with an augmented reality and how I perceive my relationship with the natural and the unnatural.
